Job overview
Are you a dynamic and motivated pharmacist looking to make a significant impact in both education and clinical practice? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Education and Training team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced clinical pharmacist with excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
- To deputise for the Lead Education and Training pharmacist
- Planning and delivery of the Trainee Pharmacist Foundation year programme
- Developing newly qualified pharmacist
- Effectively contributing to the training of staff
- Acting as a professional role model and mentor in clinical pharmacy practice
- Acting as Designated Supervisor and Designated Prescribing Practitioner to Trainee Pharmacists at SFHT
- To provide efficient, high quality, accurate and cost-effective clinical pharmacy service to the Trust.

Essential criteria
- BSc, BPharm or MSc in Pharmacy
- Member of the GPhC
- Diploma or MSc in clinical pharmacy gained through 2 years of post-graduate study
- Independent Pharmacist prescribing qualification
Desirable criteria
- Qualification in teaching
- Leadership and Management course/qualification
- Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
- Member of other relevant Pharmacy-related professional associations

- Substantial previous hospital experience (post registration)
- Significant experience of working as a clinical teacher
- Significant knowledge of the MPharm undergraduate course, Foundation Year Trainee Pharmacist training and postgraduate courses
