Job overview
The Swindon Talking Therapies Service is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and qualified High Intensity Therapist to join our dynamic and expanding service to help manage the increasing demand for Step 3 CBT.
We currently operate a hybrid working arrangement, where you will be based in Swindon combined with opportunities for remote working from home.

Swindon Talking Therapies hosts two team days each year (summer and Christmas). These are opportunities to come together as a team, receive CPD, focus on service development and reflect on the achievements of the year. Main duties of the job
- You will provide a qualified specialist psychological therapy service for anxiety and depression to clients from the NHS Talking Therapies service. This involves providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy, using the therapy model specified by the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual.
- You will also provide professional and clinical supervision to other members of the team.
- You will need to hold the NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity CBT Postgraduate Diploma and be accredited with the BABCP.
- You will be joining the service at an exciting time with expansion across all areas which will open up excellent development opportunities.
- You will receive regular supervision and an extensive programme of CPD opportunities to ensure your continued learning and development.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- You will provide line management for qualified and trainee practitioners.
- You will ensure that line managed staff maintain appropriate clinical records and outcome data in keeping with service operational policy.
- You will ensure that line managed staff participate in setting and reviewing objectives on an annual basis.
- You will ensure that line managed staff participate in activities of Continued Professional Development on an annual basis.
- You will ensure that line managed staff maintain Professional Registration required for their post.
- You will participate in audits of clinical activity and evaluative research as required.
- You will manage an aspect of the service at the level of direct service delivery. This might include one or more (depending on available time) of: keeping a central resource file of clinical resources for general use, acting as the key liaison with an identified group of professionals/organisations.
- You will support the Senior Management Team and Clinical Lead to ensure the effective operation of the service.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Recognised/accredited post graduate level training in a psychological therapy
- Full accreditation with the BABCP or eligibility for BPS/CPC and eligibility for BABCP accreditation
Desirable criteria
- CBT Supervisors qualification or eligible to train as a CBT supervisor
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients within an NHS Talking Therapies service
- Experience of working with a variety of client groups and presenting problems
- Experience of line managing/supervising staff
Skills
Essential criteria
- Mobile with the facility to move quickly across a geographically dispersed area with limited access to public transport

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
