Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic, qualified band 5 nurses to join our team. You will be an RN/RSCN/-Child ideally with a neonatal qualification specialty or a minimum of 6 months current neonatal experience.

 You will have a positive attitude and be able to provide excellent clinical, compassionate care, with a willingness to learn.

You will be able to work well independently and within the team and support junior staff as well as pre-registration student nurses.

The neonatal unit at Warrington and Halton NHS foundation trust has 14 cots, 2 ITU, 4 HDU and 8 special care cots located in 2 rooms. We have recently expanded our service to include transitional care cots based on the post natal ward to reduce term admissions and separation of mothers and babies.

We are part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Network. We accept referrals from all networks as our location close to the M6, M56, M62 makes us ideally situated for this.

Essential criteria
  • Clinical experience in specialty or related area within the last four years
  • RGN, RSCN or RN (Adult or Child)
  • Post-registration qualification in neonatal specialist area (ENB 405 or equivalent)
  • • Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding.
  • • Ability to communicate unpleasant and sensitive information.
  • • Able to present written information in a logical manner.
  • Basic IT skills in word processing and spreadsheets

  • Knowledge on NWNODN
