Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Radiographer with excellent organisational and communication skills to join the Imaging Compliance Team. 

This is a cross site (22.5 hours per week) role with regular working at the Royal Derby and Queens Hospital Burton sites. There will also be an occasional need for working at other University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) sites which deliver Imaging Services.  Following induction, there will also be the opportunity to work from home as part of a regular working pattern.

As part of the Compliance Team the post holder will support the Superintendent Radiographer in delivering the departments Governance, Quality and Accreditation agenda and the successful applicant will  be involved in all aspects of compliance teamwork including meeting the Quality Standard for Imaging, QSI.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Radiographer to use their knowledge and skills in a department wide support role.

You will need to be HCPC registered with demonstrable NHS experience and a proven interest in governance work.

The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton have a focus on patient care and the work of the Compliance Team underpins this in the Imaging Business Unit.  

Main duties of the job

  • To plan, organise and prioritise own workload and assist in that of support staff
  • To support the Superintendent Radiographer GQA in delivering the department’s clinical governance programme, including the management of risk, incidents, complaints, mandatory training, extended practice and legislative compliance.
  • To support the Superintendent Radiographer GQA in delivering the department’s QSI programme including  identifying, collecting, collating and uploading evidence for online submissions.
  • To support the Superintendent Radiographer GQA in delivering the department’s Quality Management programme including the use of the services QPulse QMS.  

The Compliance Team are at the heart of Imaging's efforts to provide a safe, high quality and equitable service for the patients who use our services at 9 sites across Southern Derbyshire and Southeast Staffordshire.
