Job overview

A vacancy has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Reception / Admin Assistant to join our busy team providing reception and administration duties including support within the Scanning Project team, assist in the smooth running of the integrated Sexual Health service. The successful candidate must be well organised, good interpersonal skills to be able to prioritise workload, work to process and deadlines and support a busy reception desk across the Hull & East Riding area. The post holder must be a team player with excellent communication skills and be able to work without direct supervision on a daily basis producing work of a good quality to a high standard, accurate and paying attention to detail. T

Main duties of the job

he post holder will have excellent computer and organisational skills to support this role. Due to the nature of this service, the post holder will be required to deal with sensitive information and must adhere to confidentiality and data protection at all times. 

Reception cover is required across the main hub; Wilberforce Health Centre and across the Hull and East Riding area, working flexibly to ensure all shifts are covered.  Please do not apply if you are unable to travel between sites.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Level 2 in Business Administration or Customer Service or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Word processing to RSA 2 standard European Computer Driving License (EDCL) or able to demonstrate appropriate level of skill

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of a range of routine administration procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general officer procedures
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft packages
  • Experience of SystmOne functions
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous experience of working with general public
