Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

Applications are invited for Band 2 Health Care Assistant to work within our Cardiology unit.
The CCU/Gordon Hopkins Ward is a 29 bed acute Cardiology unit that meet the holistic needs of patients with variety of cardiac conditions. It has an exceptionally dedicated team, and we are looking for highly motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to the patients.
Day to day, you’ll work under the supervision of our registered staff to help:
Wash and dress patients
Monitor and record clinical observations
Support patients to eat and drink
Help patients move around
Make beds and maintain a clean, safe clinical area
Talk to patients and their families
Perform specialised skills such as ECG, blood sugar monitoring
Manage stock levels for linen and other supplies
