Trauma Fellow - Trauma and Orthopaedics
NHS Medical & Dental: Senior Clinical Fellow
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake an established, well regarded Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship from August 2025 for 6 months (with a view to extend a further 6 months with agreement on consultant lead and fellow). Internationally renowned as a crucible of Orthopaedics, Liverpool was the home of the pioneers of orthopaedics and trauma surgery, Hugh Owen-Thomas, Robert Jones and Thomas Porter McMurray. The successful candidate will join a team of Orthopaedic professionals who remain committed to that culture of innovation today.
Previous applicants need not apply.
Main duties of the job
This is a 6 – 12-month post. The goal of the Fellowship is to take a peri-CCT, or equivalent, Orthopaedic Surgeon and, in a 12-month training programme, take them to a level at which they are capable of an independent practice in orthopaedics, specialising in Trauma Surgery.
The fellowship is recognised for training and is aimed at peri-CCT, or equivalent, candidates wishing to gain further experience in Trauma Surgery, with a view to seeking a consultant post with this specialist interest. Service development may involve some alteration in the program during the attachment.
