Job overview
We are looking for 1 x Part Time 2/3 days per week on rotation. Will be discussed in interview.
This role requires the post holder to provide an efficient and comprehensive clerical and administrative service for the department. This includes maintaining patient related records/databases, making appointments and preparing correspondence.
There is one role available working between the Crisis admin teams based at Highbury hospital, but may also involve working at the Sherwood Oaks Hospital for holiday and/or sickness cover for the Crisis team based there.
You will work as part of a team providing clerical and administrative support.
Where required, you will participate in the provision of a welcoming and confidential reception service to staff and visitors.
Main duties of the job
To carry out all aspects of clerical and administrative support.
Maintain health care records including computerized systems and databases.
Potential reception duties; including monitoring visitor attendance, dealing with telephone enquiries and incoming mail.
To receive and make internal and external telephone calls from staff, service users / patients, members of the public and external agencies ensuring that messages received are appropriately signposted and actioned.
Type correspondence as required.
Co-ordinating healthcare appointments for patients.
Word process correspondence including letters, memos and typing reports.
May be required to take notes/minutes at team meetings.
Filing and photocopying, scan and attaching documents.
To implement and maintain adequate filing and follow up systems.
Transfer of individual and bulk files for archiving between locations.
Input clinical data and maintain.
Identify health and safety practices that are appropriate to self and others.
To participate in appropriate training courses and updated in accordance with mandatory requirements and undertake a personal development plan ‘My Annual Review’.
Working as a team to provide cover for sickness and annual leave, as and when required.
To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of this role.

Please note this post does not meet skill level required for a Skilled worker visa.
