Job overview
A vacancy has arisen within the Audiology Service for a full-time Audiologist to assist in the provision of a high quality Audiology service to the population of Powys.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Audiologists for this post. We also welcome applications from new graduates for this post. Consideration will be given to applicants who are soon to complete their B.Sc in Audiology.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend clinics at sites across Powys, with Llandrindod Hospital being the base.
We provide Wax removal Course Certification for interested candidates.
Candidates should be registered/eligible for registration with the RCCP or The Academy of Healthcare Science.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The role will be performed in outpatient, domiciliary and/or in-patient settings across Powys.
There will be responsibility to train and supervise other clinical staff where appropriate.

- BSc Audiology or BAAT Part 1 and 2
- RCCP Registration

- Basic knowledge of the principles of Clinical Governance
Experience

- Clinical experience in assessment, diagnosis and management of hearing conditions
- Experience of working as an effective member of a team

- Experience working autonomously
- Experience of using Auditbase
- Experience of using GN and Otometrics equipment
