Adult Social Care Business Support team in Tamworth require a Locality Business Support Assistant - Band 3 part time 18.75 hours per week working all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday am
Tamworth – Merlin House, Etchell Road, Tamworth, B78 3HF - blended working – working from home and in the office.
Main duties of the job
As a Locality Business Support Assistant to the Social Care teams you will provide a high level of dedicated administrative support to established teams of Social Care Practitioners. A strong sense of teamwork and commitment to maintaining high standards is essential to this position. The post holder will be required to provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical activities to meet the needs of various services; they will effectively communicate related information and advice to enable the teams to achieve operational excellence. The post holder will be required to undertake general office duties and support the teams and Managers where required. The post holder will also be required to take minutes at Adult Protection meetings, producing a written record following the meeting on a regular basis.
All posts require suitable candidates who possess a good standard of literacy and numeracy, good communication and interpersonal skills, IT skills, including well developed data entry skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, ability to multitask and prioritise own workload.

On appointment, the post holder will be auto-enrolled in the SWLA and aligned to the appropriate British Association of Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework. The relevant SWLA ‘stage’ (i.e. stage 1 (ASYE), 2 (Social Worker) or 3 (Advanced Social Worker) will also be agreed taking all prior Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and relevant experience into consideration. The post holder will be required to take responsibility for their own Continuous Professional Development.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE English grade C or above or equivalent experience
- IT qualification equivalent to the competency level of ECDL/CLAIT etc.
- Apprenticeship/ NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
- Demonstrate a commitment to further training and development commensurate with the grade
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of using computer based information systems in an office environment
- Ability and experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Office/MS Teams and have accurate and competent keyboard skills
- Experience of minute taking
- Experience of knowledge of budget management
