Patient Pathway Assistant - 20 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 3 Patient Pathway Assistant to join our Pain team.

The role will comprise of making appointments ,answering the phones and admin support for the COPE ( Centre of Pain Education team ) .

The postholder will assist the provision of the highest quality patient care through dedicated administrative clerical support t medical and nursing staff

The posthoder will need to ensure they are customer focused and a knowledgeable point of contact

Main duties of the job

Knowledge and use of iClip Pro and hospital systems are essential for this role

You will be making appointments and seeing patients through their pathway and treatment plans and updating iClip Pro in a timely manner along with general office duties.

  • Good general ECDL or Application & education with GCSE or equivalent in English at grade C or above
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL equivalent
  • NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • NHS Experience
  • Knowledge of a full range of IT/Patient administration systems
  • Knowledge of patient administration work in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of customer care

Knowledge & Skills

Essential criteria
  • The ability to PAS. interview prioritise tasks effectively with some direction
  • Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard
  • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets e.g. Excel or similar applications
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection principles
  • Knowledge of health and safety
