Job overview
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant (6.5 PAs) in Acute Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is available to commence as soon as possible for a period of 6 months.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to all aspects of clinical services provided by the Acute Internal Medicine department. AIM clinical services include a GP liaison service, same day emergency care, emergency assessment units and a virtual follow-up clinic. In addition, they are expected to also contribute to teaching and training.
The successful candidate will be fully registered with the GMC and have CCT in Acute Medicine or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
