Main duties of the job
We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced respiratory nurse to join our team. You must be a registered adult nurse with extensive respiratory care experience and a demonstrated commitment to professional growth.
You should be an effective communicator at all levels, able to work independently, and excel in teamwork. Your focus will be providing high-quality, timely, and patient-centered care, always adhering to best practice policies and guidelines.
You will receive ongoing support through regular team meetings, one-on-one coaching, and access to a multidisciplinary team of nurses, AHPs, and consultants for mentorship and development.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Registration as an Adult Nurse
- Significant experience in respiratory care
- Post-registration training in respiratory medicine
- A strong desire to expand clinical skills across all respiratory conditions
- A positive, adaptable approach to service development and change management
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, carers, and the wider team

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Essential Qualifications

- Nursing degree or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Respiratory Diploma/Degree, qualification in COPD or Teaching & Assessing
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial post registration experience
- Experience of working with both acute and chronic respiratory patients
- Responsible for an area of care including assessment, planning and implementation of care
- Supervision of Junior members of staff
- Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
Desirable criteria
- Clinical experience in primary/community care
- Knowledge of community/primary care service, support and networks
- Full UK driving license with willingness to use own car for work purposes
